Developed in collaboration with Slash, the Seymour Duncan Slash APH-2S humbucker set is voiced to capture the searing sustain, crunchy rhythm, and rich midrange of his iconic Appetite for Destruction-era Les Paul tone. Built around warm, expressive Alnico 2 magnets, this calibrated neck and bridge pair delivers singing leads, responsive pick attack, and a classic rock character that sits perfectly in a mix.
Each pickup is hand built in Santa Barbara with traditional humbucker construction, including a nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape wrap, and wax potting for controlled feedback at stage volume. Modern appointments such as Short Ear (SE) mounting legs and 4-conductor cabling open up advanced wiring options like coil splitting, series/parallel switching, and out-of-phase tones, while the set you receive is the same specification used in Slash’s own guitars.
