The Seymour Duncan Slash APH-2N Neck Humbucker is voiced to capture the iconic sustain, crunch, and midrange character heard on Slash’s legendary recordings with Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo projects. Developed in collaboration with Slash, this neck pickup refines the classic Alnico 2 Pro recipe to make modern Les Paul–style guitars respond and feel like his famed AFD Les Paul.

Using a different magnet wire and winding spec paired with an Alnico 2 bar magnet, this pickup delivers a warm, singing neck tone with focused mids and smooth highs that stay musical under gain. Each humbucker is hand built in Santa Barbara with the same attention to detail as Slash’s original pickups from the ’80s, giving you the familiar response and feel that’s become a cornerstone of rock guitar tone.

Constructed with a nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting, the APH-2N is designed for reliability on stage and in the studio. Modern updates include Short Ear (SE) mounting legs for an easier fit in a wider range of instruments and a 4-conductor cable for flexible wiring options, including coil splitting, series/parallel, and phase switching. It’s the same pickup pulled from regular production stock and installed in Slash’s own guitars by his tech, Ace Bergman.
