Shure MXA901B-R-GM-V Black Ceiling Array Microphone with Suspension Kit

The Shure MXA901-R is the sleekest ceiling array microphone Shure builds: a 13.5-inch round, 1.64-inch deep disc holding 85 MEMS elements, onboard IntelliMix DSP and Dante networking, all powered over a single PoE Ethernet run. Single-Zone Automatic Coverage captures every talker in a space up to 20 x 20 feet with no aiming or tuning, and the coverage area can be tightened to as little as 10 x 10 feet when you want to reject an adjacent corridor or glass wall. When an installation calls for precise control, the automatic mode can be switched off and up to eight independent pickup lobes positioned by hand in Shure Designer.

This order code is Shure's factory bundle of the black MXA901B-R array microphone with the A901B-R-GM Gripple suspension mount kit in matching black. The suspension kit is the answer for open, exposed or very high ceilings, where there is no drywall or tile plane to mount into and the microphone has to be dropped down to a useful listening height. Three Gripple Angel Side Hook connectors and three 10-foot steel cables let you set the drop anywhere along the cable length and re-adjust it later by squeezing the connector, and a black back cover clips over the rear of the microphone so the underside of the array reads as one clean black disc from the floor.

Black is the finish specifiers reach for in dark-painted open plenums, exposed-structure boardrooms, broadcast and lecture spaces, and any room where the ceiling is intentionally dark and a white microphone would draw the eye. Paired with a Shure IntelliMix Foundation System the MXA901 becomes a Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms certified solution, and command string support lets it drive third-party cameras and room control systems for talker-based camera tracking.
