Shure MXA901B-R-PM-1.5-V Black Ceiling Array Mic 1.5 in Pole Mount Kit

The Shure MXA901-R is a 13.5-inch round ceiling array microphone with 85 MEMS elements, onboard IntelliMix DSP and Dante networking, drawing a maximum of 10.1 watts over PoE. Single-Zone Automatic Coverage captures a 20 x 20 foot room straight out of the box and can be narrowed to 10 x 10 feet, while steerable coverage mode gives an integrator up to eight independently positioned pickup lobes for rooms with unusual geometry or problem noise sources.

This order code is Shure's factory bundle of the black MXA901B-R array microphone with the A901B-R-PM-1.5IN pole mount kit in matching black, which hangs the array from a 1.5-inch diameter threaded NPT pole. A rigid pole is what you want in a high open-structure ceiling where a suspended microphone would swing or spin, or where the drop has to line up precisely with a lighting or truss grid. The VESA bracket threads straight onto the pole, four thumb screws lock the microphone to it, and a set screw tightened with the supplied M4 hex key holds the rotational position so the LED status bar faces the way you intend.

The black cover conceals the pole termination and matches the black microphone body, so the whole assembly disappears into a dark-painted plenum or exposed-structure ceiling. Note that the pole itself and its ceiling plate are not supplied and must include a cable exit for the Ethernet run; adjustable extension poles with a larger bottom diameter may not fit inside the cover.
