Shure MXA901B-R-PM-3/8-V Black Ceiling Array Mic 3/8 in Rod Mount Kit

The Shure MXA901-R is Shure's slimmest ceiling array microphone, a 13.5-inch round disc just 1.64 inches deep containing 85 MEMS elements, IntelliMix DSP and Dante audio networking on a single PoE cable. Single-Zone Automatic Coverage handles a room up to 20 x 20 feet with no configuration, adjusts down to 10 x 10 feet, and gives way to up to eight steerable pickup lobes when a room needs hand-placed coverage.

This order code is Shure's factory bundle of the black MXA901B-R array microphone with the A901B-R-PM-3/8IN pole mount kit in matching black, which mounts the array on 3/8-inch diameter threaded rod. Threaded rod is the slimmest rigid drop available for this microphone and is often the easier install in a plenum already full of rod-hung services, since the same stock and the same anchors used for trays and hangers carry the microphone. The kit adds a 3/8-inch adapter and jam nut on top of the standard pole mount hardware, plus eight cable ties for dressing the Ethernet cable along the rod.

As with all the rigid mounts, the VESA bracket set screw locks the microphone's rotation so the LED status bar ends up facing the room rather than the wall. The black cover and black microphone body keep the assembly visually quiet in dark, exposed-structure ceilings. Threaded rod and its ceiling anchor are not included.
