Shure MXA901W-R-GM-V White Ceiling Array Microphone with Suspension Kit

The Shure MXA901-R packs 85 MEMS microphone elements, IntelliMix DSP and Dante audio networking into a 13.5-inch round disc only 1.64 inches deep, running on a single PoE Ethernet cable. Single-Zone Automatic Coverage picks up the entire room out to 20 x 20 feet with no setup at all, and narrows to 10 x 10 feet when the room is smaller or you need to keep an adjacent space out of the mix. Turn automatic coverage off and you can steer up to eight independent lobes exactly where the seats are.

This order code is Shure's factory bundle of the white MXA901W-R array microphone with the A901W-R-GM Gripple suspension mount kit in matching white. Suspension is the right answer when there is no ceiling plane to mount into, or when the structure sits well above the 12-foot maximum recommended mounting height and the microphone needs to come down to the talkers. Three Gripple Angel Side Hook connectors ride on three 10-foot steel cables, so the drop can be dialled in on site and changed later without re-cutting cable, and a white back cover clips over the rear of the array to finish it.

White is the default choice under painted drywall, white open plenums and light-toned architectural ceilings, where a white microphone visually recedes instead of reading as a dark spot overhead. Paired with a Shure IntelliMix Foundation System the MXA901 forms a Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms certified solution, and its command string support lets it feed talker position to third-party cameras and room control systems.
