Shure MXA901W-R-HCM-V White Ceiling Array Mic Drywall Flush Mount Kit

The Shure MXA901-R is a 13.5-inch round ceiling array microphone containing 85 MEMS elements, onboard IntelliMix DSP and Dante audio networking, all fed by one PoE Ethernet cable. Single-Zone Automatic Coverage captures talkers across a 20 x 20 foot room with no aiming or tuning and can be narrowed to 10 x 10 feet, and when a room needs manual control the automatic mode gives way to up to eight steerable pickup lobes placed in Shure Designer.

This order code is Shure's factory bundle of the white MXA901W-R array microphone with the A901-R-HCM hard ceiling mount kit, the option for installing the array into a solid drywall ceiling. Rather than hanging below the ceiling, the microphone sits nearly flush with the surrounding surface: you cut a 13.85-inch (352 mm) hole using the supplied template, drop the mount in, and tighten three screws that swing three support arms up to grip the back of the drywall. The result is the most architecturally discreet way to deploy an MXA901, which is why it is specified for executive boardrooms, courtrooms, training rooms and any finished space where visible hardware is unwelcome.

The mount's trim is white to match the white MXA901W-R, and it can be painted if the ceiling is a different color. Before ordering, confirm the ceiling is between 0.375 and 1.25 inches thick and that there is at least 2.5 inches of clear space above it. If the ceiling is a suspended tile grid rather than drywall, the A901-R-TB tile bridge kit is the correct accessory instead.
