The SpeakerCraft AIM252-MK3 is a 5.25-inch, 2-way flangeless in-ceiling speaker with updated voicing built for modern distributed audio and object-based surround formats such as Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and DTS:X. A refined crossover using both symmetrical and asymmetrical Linkwitz-Riley filtering improves phase coherence, acoustic symmetry, and power handling for smoother driver blending and better overall performance.

Inspired by concert line arrays, the AIM Mk 3's ARC Tweeter Array places three pivoting 5/8-inch silk tweeters along a single arc, fed in phase to project high frequencies farther into the room with a tightly defined output pattern. This narrows the soundfield to enhance speech intelligibility and dialog, enables a lower crossover point for a sweeter sweet spot, and — combined with updated WavePlane technology that acts as an acoustic lens — produces a cleaner, wider, and richer sound throughout the listening area.

The glass-fiber pivoting woofer and 359-degree rotationally adjustable tweeter array let integrators aim sound precisely at a seating area or wherever impact is desired, while Vortex Eliminators disperse sound at the baffle edge to eliminate any tunnel effect. Acoustic Isolation Technology decouples the housing from the surrounding ceiling to reduce structural resonance, so you hear the speaker as intended — not colored by the mounting surface. Timbre-matched to all Two-Level speakers, the AIM252-MK3 is recrafted for heightened aesthetics and enhanced performance.
