The SpeakerCraft SC3-IC6-TILT is a 6.5-inch premium toolless in-ceiling speaker from the Nice SC3 series, an evolution of SpeakerCraft, the inventor of architectural speakers. Its black Kevlar woofer sits on a fixed 15-degree tilt and is paired with a pivoting 1-1/4-inch aluminum/magnesium AccuAim tweeter, directing clear, dynamic sound toward the listening area for whole-home audio, media rooms, and home theater.
Kevlar provides a stiff, lightweight cone for excellent transient response, and the aluminum/magnesium tweeter adds rigidity and superior damping for detailed highs. A copper shorting ring (Faraday shield) reduces distortion and stabilizes impedance across the frequency range, while an asymmetrical 3rd-order crossover blends the drivers seamlessly. Three-position tweeter level and two-position voice switches let you fine-tune the highs and vocal focus to your space.
AccuAim technology lets the tweeter click-lock into a repeatable angle to pinpoint the sweet spot, and XmaG extended pole pieces keep the magnetic field linear for lower distortion at high output. The ViseLock toolless mounting system by Swarm installs up to 75% faster, while the rigid metal frame and paintable, bezelless stainless-steel round grille resist rust and reduce transmission loss through the ceiling.
