The SpeakerCraft SC3-IW5-LCR is a premium in-wall LCR loudspeaker from the Nice SC3 architectural series — an evolution of SpeakerCraft, the inventor of architectural speakers. Its left-center-right-capable design pairs dual 5.25-inch black Kevlar woofers with a pivoting aluminum-magnesium AccuAim tweeter, making it an ideal on-wall front-stage or surround channel for home theater and high-performance whole-home audio.
Kevlar is thin, stiff, and light for improved transient response and dynamics, while the aluminum-magnesium alloy tweeter — 56.3% larger than a typical 1-inch dome — delivers more power at a lower crossover point, enhanced off-axis response, and low distortion. A copper shorting ring (Faraday shield) reduces distortion and keeps impedance consistent, and an asymmetrical 3rd-order crossover with a 3-position tweeter level switch and 2-position voice switch lets you fine-tune the highs and vocal focus for a crisp, dynamic musical performance.
The ViseLock toolless clamping system mounts the speaker up to 75% faster than traditional designs, AccuAim click-locks the tweeter to a repeatable angle for precise phase accuracy, and XmaG extended pole pieces keep response linear at all levels. A rigid metal frame minimizes resonance and transmission loss, and the paintable, bezelless stainless-steel rectangular grille resists rust naturally. The SC3-IW5-LCR works with BKT84600E pre-construction brackets.
