SWIT S-4609 Portable 3G-SDI Audio De-Embedder

The SWIT S-4609 SDI Audio De-Embedder extracts any two audio channels from the first eight channels embedded in a 3G, HD, or SD-SDI signal. It provides professional AES/EBU digital audio and balanced analog outputs while maintaining two reclocked SDI loop outputs for broadcast, field production, and AV conversion workflows.

Six front-panel switches select the desired two-channel audio pair without requiring software or an external controller. The S-4609 is especially useful when a production needs separate audio feeds for recorders, mixers, monitoring equipment, or other professional audio hardware while preserving the original SDI signal for downstream devices. If AES/EBU and analog audio outputs are connected simultaneously, the AES/EBU output takes priority.

A unibody aluminum-alloy enclosure protects the connectors during mobile production, while bottom 1/4-inch mounting threads support camera installation. The included installation plate also allows wall mounting and cable management. Three status indicators provide immediate confirmation of power, recognized SDI input, and active audio de-embedding, and the 6-18V DC input supports either the included AC adapter or a compatible battery-powered field setup.
