TC Electronic TELEPORT GLT

The TELEPORT GLT is an active guitar signal transmitter that converts a guitar’s high-impedance output into a balanced low-impedance signal for lossless long cable runs (up to ~100 m / 300 ft when used with the GLR receiver). It is intended for stage and studio use where long balanced runs are required without tone loss. Verified specs and performance details are taken from the official Teleport GLT/GLR quick guide and manufacturer pages.

GLT is part of the TELEPORT system (transmitter + receiver). It provides balanced XLR output for long cable transmission and is powered from a 12 V DC supply (150 mA). The design preserves frequency response and low distortion across the system for professional applications.

For setup, the GLT connects between guitar and the GLR (receiver) with a balanced XLR cable; the included power adapter powers the GLT. Refer to the quick start guide for wiring and DRAG/ground settings.

Key Features

  • Function: Active guitar signal transmitter for long-run balanced transmission.
  • Long cable runs: Designed to transmit loss-free over distances up to ~100 meters (300 ft) when paired with GLR.
  • Balanced output: XLR balanced output to feed GLR or mixing consoles over long cable runs.
  • Low distortion / high SNR: Very low THD and high signal-to-noise performance for clean tone preservation.
  • Power: 12 V DC, 150 mA supply (unit requires external adapter supplied with product).
  • Compact build: Small chassis (64 × 118 × 112 mm) suitable for pedalboard or rack accessory use.
  • Part of TELEPORT system: Works with GLR receiver (sold separately) for end-to-end lossless transmission.

Technical Specifications

  • Connection (output): XLR female, balanced (GLT balanced output to GLR input as part of system).
  • Output connector (local): ¼" TRS, unbalanced (where applicable in GLT/GLR flow).
  • Impedance: ~2 kΩ (system output / balanced). Some listed adjustable input/load ranges 22 kΩ to >1 MΩ for related GLR/GLT controls; consult manual for per-channel values.
  • System Frequency Response: GLT system: ~10 Hz to 26 kHz (±3 dB) as listed for GLT in the official guide.
  • THD + N: 0.0015% @ 1 kHz, 0 dBu (GLT listed spec).
  • Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR): 90 dB @ 1 kHz, 0 dBu (GLT listed spec).
  • Power Requirement: 12 V DC, 150 mA (GLT). The quick-start guide references the included power adaptor.
  • Dimensions: 64 × 118 × 112 mm — 2.52" × 4.65" × 4.41" (6.4 × 11.8 × 11.2 cm).
  • Weight: 0.50 kg (1.10 lbs) — GLT weight as listed.
  • Typical Use Case: Transmitter in TELEPORT long-cable system; pairs with GLR receiver to restore to Hi-Z for amp/effects.

What's Included

  • TELEPORT GLT unit.
  • Power adapter (included per quick-start guide).
  • Quick Start / User guide (paper / downloadable PDF).
