The Telex SR-50 SoundMate personal listening receiver is a single-channel VHF FM receiver factory-tuned to Channel K at 75.6 MHz. It receives audio from a compatible assistive listening transmitter and delivers it through a connected earphone, headphone, neckloop, or other listening accessory with a 3.5 mm plug.

This fixed-frequency receiver provides straightforward operation for theaters, houses of worship, schools, conference facilities, and other venues using a 75.6 MHz assisted listening system. A raised volume control supports adjustments by touch, while the recessed headphone jack helps protect the listening accessory connection. The detachable belt clip supports comfortable, hands-free use throughout presentations and events.

The SR-50 operates with compatible Telex TW-6, AAT-2, PST-16, ST-200, PST-170, and ST-300 transmitters set to the same frequency. Its earphone cord functions as the omnidirectional receiving antenna, reducing the need for a separate external antenna.
