The Thypoch Simera-C 50mm T1.5 is a compact full-frame cinema prime built for the new generation of small cine cameras. Where traditional cinema glass forces you into heavy rigs and oversized support, the Simera-C 50mm packs a fast T1.5 high-speed aperture, a 43.2mm image circle and 8K-capable resolving power into an all-metal barrel that weighs just 369g in Sony E mount and 353g in Leica M - the lightest lens in the entire Simera-C set, which spans only 369-491g. It is the natural nifty-fifty for filmmakers working on the DJI Ronin 4D, on gimbals and drones, or on any modern full-frame mirrorless hybrid, and it carries the classic rangefinder rendering Thypoch built its reputation on into a true cine housing.

Optically, the Simera-C 50mm T1.5 combines aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements to hold resolution from center to edge while keeping chromatic aberration and astigmatism firmly in check, supporting 8K high-resolution production. A 16-blade rounded iris renders creamy, circular bokeh and clean specular highlights without onion-ring artifacts, and the series' floating element design pulls the close focus in to 0.55m (1 ft 10 in) from the sensor plane - closer than most rehoused or modified rangefinder lenses, so you can push in for texture and detail on close-ups. Advanced vacuum coating and multi-layer anti-reflective coatings suppress veiling flare and ghosting, while an internal anodized matte-black finish holds reflectivity below 3.5% to kill stray-light bounce, keeping backlit and mixed-lighting scenes clean, contrasty and color-accurate.
