The Venus Optics Laowa Ultima FF 25-180mm T3.8 Zoom Lens is a parfocal ARRI PL cinema zoom covering full-frame sensors. It combines a constant T3.8 aperture, 7.2x focal range, 8K capture support, and suppressed focus breathing for broadcast, documentary, live-event, and narrative production.

The 25mm wide end captures establishing shots, interiors, and groups, while the 180mm telephoto position isolates distant subjects and close-ups. Because the lens maintains focus while zooming, camera crews can reframe during a take without interrupting focus. Its 3.9-foot minimum focusing distance and 0.2x maximum magnification also support detailed medium close-ups.

Focus, iris, and zoom rings use cinema-standard 0.8 MOD gearing for follow-focus units and motorized lens-control systems. Dual metric and imperial distance markings accommodate international crews, while the included support foot adds a 3/8-inch-16 mounting point for reinforced rod-supported rigs. An optional servo drive enables powered ENG-style zoom control.
