The Waldorf Quantum MK2 is a 61-key hybrid polyphonic synthesizer built for detailed sound design, performance, sequencing, and sample-based production. Its architecture combines three digital oscillators with eight analog filters and eight multimode filters, giving musicians access to subtractive, wavetable, sample-driven, and hybrid synthesis workflows from a single instrument.

A semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keyboard with aftertouch supports expressive playing, while two modulation wheels, chord and latch controls, and 16 onscreen pads extend performance control. The Quantum MK2 provides 16-voice polyphony alongside six LFOs, six loopable envelope generators, and a 40-slot modulation matrix for building animated patches and complex modulation relationships.

Production tools include a 32-step sequencer, configurable arpeggiator, real-time audio recording, sampling, and playback of WAV and AIFF/AIFC files. Internal flash storage, an SD card slot, USB Type-A and Type-B connections, MIDI In/Out/Thru, auxiliary audio I/O, pedal inputs, and dedicated headphone monitoring allow the Quantum MK2 to integrate into hardware-focused and computer-based studios.
