The Warm Audio JUDE-MP Mono Microphone Preamp is a single-channel, dual-discrete Class-A recording preamp based on the original Sound Techniques A-Range console circuit. It combines a 3035 amplifier topology, custom CineMag transformers, and a 9-position Z-Match control to provide 65-76 dB of gain with selectable microphone-to-preamp interaction.

Designed for studio vocals, acoustic instruments, electric guitar, bass, keyboards, piano, and drums, the JUDE-MP accepts microphone, line-level, and instrument sources. Its Z-Match circuit changes input-stage behavior to affect gain, transient response, frequency balance, and headroom, giving engineers additional control when pairing the preamp with dynamic, ribbon, tube, and condenser microphones.

The hand-wired signal path uses Nichicon and Wima audio-grade capacitors, carbon resistors, a three-impedance CineMag input transformer, and a high-purity nickel CineMag output transformer. Professional controls include 48V phantom power, polarity inversion, a line-level switch, stepped gain adjustment, and analog VU metering. Balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS connections integrate the preamp with recording interfaces, converters, and studio patching systems.
