Wittner CRLWZ Zuerich Adjustable Viola Chinrest 4/4 Black

Wittner Zuerich Adjustable Viola Chinrest - 4/4 Black

The Wittner Zuerich Adjustable Viola Chinrest provides contoured chin support for a full-size viola, with selectable height and tilt. Its black plastic composite body places the main playing surface beside the tailpiece while mounting centrally on the instrument. These settings let players tailor the contact angle within their viola setup.

This configuration suits musicians replacing a chinrest or exploring a different support position on a 4/4 instrument. Height and inclination adjustments allow a player, teacher, or instrument technician to assess several settings within one assembly. The shaped surface provides a chin contact area for lessons, rehearsals, and individual practice alongside the player's preferred shoulder support.

Made in Germany, the Zuerich was developed in cooperation with the Zurich University of the Arts' specialist music physiology department. Its central attachment and side-positioned playing surface serve distinct roles in the design. Follow Wittner's fitting instructions when installing the assembly, then check mounting clearance and evaluate the selected settings with the player and instrument.
