Description
Wittner Augsburg Adjustable Violin Chinrest - 4/4 Black
The Wittner Augsburg Adjustable Violin Chinrest provides contoured chin support for a 4/4 violin, with selectable height and tilt. Its black composite body mounts centrally on the instrument. These settings let players refine the support position as part of a setup that considers shoulder support, chin contact, and preferred instrument placement.
This full-size version suits musicians replacing a chinrest or exploring a different support angle. Height and inclination adjustments allow a player, teacher, or instrument technician to assess several positions within one assembly. For lessons, rehearsals, and individual practice, the shaped playing surface offers an adjustable contact point between the chin and violin.
Made in Germany, the Augsburg combines an anatomically designed surface with composite construction and a centered mounting arrangement. Select this version for a full-size instrument and follow Wittner's fitting instructions when installing the assembly. After choosing the height and tilt, assess the chinrest together with the instrument's tailpiece clearance and the player's existing shoulder support to establish the complete playing setup.
