Description
Wittner Augsburg Adjustable Violin Chinrest - 3/4 Black
The Wittner Augsburg Adjustable Violin Chinrest provides contoured chin support for a 3/4 violin, with selectable height and tilt. Its black composite body mounts centrally on the instrument. These adjustment options let players refine the support position as part of a setup that also considers shoulder support and instrument placement.
This three-quarter-size version suits musicians replacing a chinrest or exploring a different contact angle. A teacher or instrument technician can help select settings that suit the player during lessons, rehearsals, and individual practice. The adjustable design offers several setup possibilities within one chinrest, allowing changes to both support height and inclination.
Made in Germany, the Augsburg uses an anatomically shaped composite construction and a centered attachment arrangement. Its size designation identifies the intended violin application, while the height and tilt settings address the player's preferred contact position. Follow Wittner's assembly instructions when fitting the chinrest, then assess its placement together with the instrument's tailpiece clearance and the player's existing shoulder support.
