Wittner MNWCAT Taktell Cat Mechanical Metronome

Wittner Taktell Cat Mechanical Metronome

The Wittner Taktell Cat Mechanical Metronome provides an audible beat and visible pendulum movement for music practice. Its wind-up mechanism operates without batteries, and the cat-shaped plastic casing adds a distinctive appearance. A sliding pendulum weight sets the tempo, with a range of 40–208 beats per minute for exercises and repertoire.

Use this metronome for scale practice, rhythm drills, and passages that require a consistent pulse. The moving pendulum offers a visual timing cue alongside the mechanical tick, helping players follow the beat while listening to their instrument. Its animal design suits teaching studios and home practice spaces where an approachable appearance complements straightforward operation.

Made in Germany, this Taktell model uses mechanical clockwork and operates without a bell. Players select the required speed by aligning the pendulum weight with the tempo scale, then gently start the pendulum. Place the unit on a stable, level surface during use. The physical controls provide a direct way to establish a practice tempo without electronic menus or battery changes.
