Wittner TPLWP15R Ultra 15" Viola Tailpiece, Rosewood-Look Plastic, Fine Tuners

Wittner Ultra 15" Viola Tailpiece, Rosewood-Look Plastic

The Wittner Ultra 15" Viola Tailpiece in rosewood-look plastic combines a composite body with four integrated fine tuners. Each string has a separate screw control for pitch adjustment. This configuration includes a nylon tailgut, the attachment that anchors the tailpiece, and serves the selected 15-inch viola application.

Violists and repair specialists can select this fitting when planning a small viola tailpiece replacement with a traditional wood-colored appearance. The integrated adjusters provide individual string controls within one assembly. For a viola tailpiece with fine tuners, assess the instrument's size and existing mounting arrangement together. This rosewood-look option suits players seeking composite tuning hardware for a 15-inch instrument setup.

Wittner manufactures the Ultra in Germany and describes its body as composite rather than solid wood. The rosewood color identifies the appearance, while black adjustment screws provide the tuning controls. A luthier, a specialist who builds and repairs string instruments, can assess tailgut length and tailpiece clearance. Correct installation considers the bridge, attachment position, and surrounding fittings as part of the complete viola setup.
