Wittner TPVWP5 Ultra 5-String Violin Tailpiece 4/4 Black Plastic

Wittner Ultra 5-String Violin Tailpiece - 4/4 Black Plastic

The Wittner Ultra 5-String Violin Tailpiece equips a 4/4 five-string violin with five integrated fine tuners, one for each string. It features a black plastic composite body, black adjustment screws, and a nylon tailgut. The tuners provide small pitch corrections directly at the tailpiece during everyday tuning.

For players who need adjustment across all five strings, this configuration places each fine-tuning screw in one assembly. It suits a full-size five-string violin replacement project or an instrument setup that calls for integrated adjusters. Players can use the tuning pegs for larger pitch changes, then make smaller corrections with the corresponding tailpiece screw.

Made in Germany, this component combines Wittner's composite construction with hardware specified for the five-string format. The nylon tailgut connects the assembly at the instrument's lower end. During fitting, a luthier can assess tailpiece placement, string clearance, and the instrument's setup requirements. Confirm the five-string configuration and 4/4 instrument size when selecting this replacement.
