The Yamaha CS6W Double-Braced Boom Cymbal Stand combines lightweight construction with added tripod stability for stage, rehearsal, and studio drum setups. Its 12.6" boom arm, step-free cymbal tilter, and boom-to-straight conversion system provide flexible positioning while maintaining a portable hardware design.

Designed for drummers who want a lightweight double-braced cymbal stand, the CS6W adjusts from approximately 31.1" to 60.2" high. The boom arm retracts into the upper tube when straight-stand operation is preferred, making the hardware more compact for transport. Double-braced legs provide additional support compared with Yamaha's single-braced CS6 configuration.

The step-free tilter permits continuous cymbal-angle adjustment without fixed gear increments. Yamaha also refines the wing hardware shape to reduce hand strain during tightening and repeated setup changes. Three telescoping tube sections measure approximately 0.9", 0.8", and 0.6" in diameter, while the complete stand weighs approximately 8.2 lb.
