The Yamaha SS6W Double-Braced Snare Stand combines a medium-weight hardware design with smooth, continuously adjustable snare positioning. Its Step Free Tilter, Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber, ergonomic basket adjustment knob, and double-braced legs provide stable support while allowing the drum to resonate freely during rehearsals, recording sessions, and live performances.

The gearless Step Free Tilter lets drummers set the basket angle without fixed adjustment increments. Yamaha's Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber incorporates an air pocket between the rubber and basket arm to reduce vibration transfer from the drum into the stand. This design supports natural shell resonance and increased low-frequency sustain while maintaining secure snare placement.

An ergonomic Snare Basket Adjustment Knob uses an integrated metal washer for smooth tightening and secure locking. The SS6W adjusts from approximately 17.7" to 23.6" high and uses lower and upper tubing measuring approximately 0.9" and 0.8" in diameter. At approximately 5.7 lb, its double-braced construction provides added stability compared with Yamaha's single-braced SS6 configuration.
